One important goal in kindergarten is to learn all uppercase/lowercase letters and the letter sounds.
The earlier we can accomplish this, the better. I use several techniques to accomplish this. We have iPad apps, letter songs, smartboard activities, etc. The sheet above is what our letter experts use. Once a day, our letter experts meet with those who have not mastered this and quiz them. It's very fun!

I will be sending home a mixed up alphabet sheet for your family soon. Find a place to hang it! Cross off or highlight letters when your child learns them! Your support at home will only help your child find more success.
Oh....so excited! We've been working with a really cool venn diagram...I'll have to get a picture. Today they sorted stickers in their very own venn diagrams. I wasn't sure how it would go....but take a look! Can you tell how each friend sorted?
The friend above did stars and dots.

This was Emilee's work. It's AWESOME! Emilee did green on one side and circles/dots on the other. The green smiley face is in the middle because it shares both attributes!!!!
WOW again!
Smarty pa-tarty :)
It took us a few days of brainstorming to figure out where objects can go if they don't have a matching attribute. Yesterday your children agreed that it could go outside of the diagram. SMART!
