Well...aside from blizzards...all is well in K02! We've been learning a ton!
Happy 1/2 birthday to Yoseph!!!!
Happy 1/2 birthday to sweet, sweet Alivia :) :)
She shared a birthday with Mrs. Minnich...who we brought in on the fun!
She was a good sport and had us sing her birthday song to her too!
Here we are...using a thesaurus to help us find adjectives or describing words...for Pigeon!
Sideways! Sorry. We are learning about characters. Please continue to question your child about characters at home. Who are the characters...what are they like? What are they feeling and how are they acting?
We are now starting a new writing unit called How to Structure Text in Interesting Ways.
We want students to continue to write true stories and to make their writing easy to read...while also focusing on trying new styles by great authors!
Playing a super fun math game where we had to identify irregular dot patterns without counting (unless we needed to count).
Today we organized allllll of our stories (from way back in August) into two piles: Hard to read and easy to read.
Then we discussed what makes them hard to read!
Today we were introduced to the math word length.
Dawson had this question: Is bigger the same thing as longer? (Don't you just LOVE seeing them question things like that?!?!) Then Nora, and a bunch of other kiddos, got into this awesome math discussion about it.
