Here are some friends working on morning sentence again. Wow!
We learned how to play the dice game today! It's a fun little brain break that we need in K :)
We worked on illustrating and cutting out our self-portraits! I noticed only a couple who couldn't hold scissors correctly. This is an easy skill to practice at home (instead of homework).
We talked about how we should draw ourselves how we actually look in real life!
AWESOME NEWS! We started writing today! My most favorite author is Eric Carle. I talk to the kids about him all of the time and we read his books to learn how to be brave! Writing can be intimidating! Not for our writers! Look at Kiera! She wrote our first real story about life. You can't quite see it, but she drew the hermit crabs and wrote 'hermit crab tank' above it. Simply beautiful work. So excited to write with them all tomorrow!
A hint: Never, ever spell words for your big K kids now. Tell them to say the word slowly and quickly write down any letters they think they hear.
