Today we finished our Knuffle Bunny trilogy! Haha. The kids were so into these stories...it was really fun to watch the main character, Trixie, grow up :) We spent part of our day drawing/doodling on large butcher paper just like Mo Willems does with his family at dinner time.
We drew a Knuffle Bunny of our very own.........
We had so much fun during math today! We worked with a 100s chart and a partner. Partner 1 covered up 6 numbers with teddy bear counters. Partner 2 had to identify the hidden numbers. It was fun to see who knew the numbers instantly and who had to count. I might send this game home for fun. It'd be a good game that you could play with Skittles, Froot Loops or some other candy!
THEN the really fun part! We worked in teams and I gave each team member a stack of numbers (somewhere in the range of 1-50). The rule was that only you could touch the numbers you are holding, but you had to work together to get the numbers laid down through 50. VERY fun. We will definitely do this again!
