Today, in math, we talked more about our body parts that we have 2 of. Yesterday, we talked about body parts that we have 1 of. We came up with this list (aren't they clever?) Then (see pic below) we charted our results on a people/eyes chart. It was so fun to see them notice the patterns in the numbers! I wish you could be here sometimes to hear their thinking. Miles even noticed that the eyes would equal double the people. WOW.
We continue to read a loved book, Two Old Potatoes and Me. Our potatoes are growing eyes!!! Very cool. We finally get to plant them tomorrow! The kids made predictions today about what will happen to our spuds when we plant them. As Will pointed out, "A prediction doesn't have to be right. It's just a guess."
We had a blast at the end of the day today! Peyton and his family brought in their pet Chinchilla, Gigi. She is totally tame and friendly. She never bites and is SUPER soft! We youtubed some videos about this animal and learned that they are nocturnal and like to take dust baths! Alivia donated one of her yogurt covered raisin snack boxes so that we could feed her.
