Happy *Rest of the Week* Haha!

We are finishing up our interactive writing about How to Build a Snowman. Next week, we'll work on some how-to stories of our own.

Just had to share. Jaymeson noticed that there is an exclamation point at the end of this sentence from our schedule. So, of course, he checks every day to see if we're reading with good expression!
Does your child know the names of punctuation?   ?!.

We decided to cut off the erasers on our pencils yesterday. We do NOT need to erase, erase, erase....we simply cross out a mistake and move on. If the writing is too hard to read, we recycle it and start over.

We practiced taking a picture walk through books again. Developing story language and telling/retelling a story in your own words is VERY IMPORTANT and needs to be strongly developed for next year.

We added this strategy on our reading wall.

Happy HALF birthday ELIANA!!!! We are so glad you're a part of K02 :)

So today, we listened to Mr. D and Mrs. Wahl tell us how to build a snowman....did they use how to story language (first, next, then, last)??? Ask your child tonight!

Today we practiced a new choice at Daily 5....Read to Someone.
