Happy Monday!

Well, will I jinx it if I talk about how HaPpY I am that it's warmer out?! I'm sorry, but 5 and 6 year olds neeeeed to get out and play in the snow. I feel so bad with them stuck in here all day!

So today should be a fun and productive day!

Just had to show this picture of Noah reading a put-together book he made at his house. He could read all of the words. They're getting really good at using reading strategies like....
Look at the picture
Get your mouth ready/say the first sound
Point with your finger
Look for chunks you know

Natalee got the SHARK AWARD yesterday for mastering spaces between words! She's got this down :)

Here is a poster showing some of our latest work with non-fiction or informational texts.
Kids can never get enough of non-fiction!

oops
Sideways. Sorry.
More non-fiction work! We labeld the room...pictures to come!

Working on our new word family chunk --ing. They did clipboard writing with a team and just look at their guesses! Wow! Who said kindergarten kids can't spell?
