Wacky Wednesday...for SURE!


Noah started off the day with a bang! We were talking about the THREE times when writers write capital letters and he remembered that the snap word I is always capitalized. 


Then...of course, it was only natural that we had to pick him to write the first word in our morning sentence! 

Here is our finished morning sentence. You can see from this picture, and the one below, that we are working on chunks ALREADY! Not all children are ready for this, but many are. I gave a little spelling test today and I will grade them and talk to you, at conferences, about where your child is, as a speller and where he or she will go from here. 



Just LOOK at these bat facts! Bats live in a cave. 


Bats are nocturnal. 


I know that bats can fly.


Our poor friend Jace, fell today-at recess and broke his wrist! We all feel SO bad and will be thinking of him all day tomorrow. The moral of the story: Mrs. Cota needs to remind her kiddos to not play on the monkey bars with gloves on. Gosh! I feel terrible. :(
