We've been reading, Old Black Fly as we continue to review and work on letters, sounds and using sound power when we read. Do you notice the funky illustrations? It's a really weird looking book...so we made a class ABC book and figured out a way to "splatter" paint too1
I just had to post this. Talk about "authentic" writing!!!! Her sticky note, in case you can't read it, says.....this is Ariana. LOL!
We did a class venn diagram to organize and sort what we've learned about two very important American Presidents!
Then the kids did their own diagram and I was so impressed with the amount of info they retained!
We played some VDAY games today...just for fun. For this game, we had to pass a tissue paper heart around the circle with clothespins--and we tried not to tear it!
We MADE IT!
This game was hilarious! They had to suck up marshmallows and blow them into the cup. Then we let the 3 fastest kids (Carson, Ariana and Will) battle it out for 1st place! Will won! He said he plays that a lot at church :) Cute.
We also played a relay/heart race. You had to go from one side of the room to the other while only stepping on your hearts!
