Happy birthday Haleigh!!!





Today our math problem was, what shapes can you use to fill a triangle? Very fun! We explored for awhile and would meet back to discuss what we were finding. It didn't take them very long to figure out that you couldn't use a square or a tan rhombus...but boy, did they try! 


Here is someone trying those hard to fit shapes! Does it work? Not quite! 



Kurgan showed us how you can use 3 trapezoids to fill the triangle. 


Oh, those orange squares again :) 



They requested that I take this picture of their castle for the hermit crabs :)
