Happy Purple Pettigrew Day!

We've been studying 2 dimensional shapes lately. This is our anchor chart that we've been working on. We explore through a lot of hands on activities so that we can learn the name of each shape along with the number of sides and corners, or vertices.

We've also been learning how to write how to stories. We started by reading Lois Ehlert's book, Snowballs. The characters in this story use 'good stuff' to make all kinds of snowmen, snowgirls and snowpets! :) We're making our own list of good stuff.

Aren't these some great examples of writing? They''ll be up in our hallway soon!

More exploration of shapes! We read, What is a Triangle and got into groups to make as many triangles as we could. We had discussion about whether or not you could use more than 3 popsicle sticks to make a triangle...very interesting.
