Happy Wednesday!

Today Nora brought a book from home that she can read all by herself! The whole class listened in to her beautiful story telling...just like a teacher!

Then I gave the kids some wordless guided reading books. I asked them to sit with their elbow partner and takes turns reading the pictures--like a story---with a lot of detail!
PHEW! They mostly agreed that this was rather difficult. Story telling is very important to the development of their writing abilities.....like organizing stories and coming up with good ideas. Please practice this at home together :)

Gabe brought in a magazine from home! He told us all about it! We even made a magazine section in our library. So....you are welcome to send in kid friendly magazines so that we can read them in our classroom.

We played a really fun patterning game today. You have to make a core unit and then roll a 1-2-3 dice. You have to figure out what colors come next and add as many snap cubes as you rolled.
