In math, we are working on comparing numbers. We played a game like what most of us know as War. But the kiddos need to answer that "0 is greater than 2 and 2 is less than 10." I think it is a hard concept to remember at any age, especially the correct symbol which we work on every day.

- Pumpkin Patch - We will be leaving on Wednesday afternoon for the pumpkin patch. Everyone will get a pumpkin. Remember to dress for the weather. We will try to go regardless of the weather.
- Artist in Residence - Also next Wednesday is our first Artist in Residence visit. I can't wait to see what happens!
- Coins for Kids - In your child's backpack, is a container for coins for kids. Please fill this container with coins and return by next Friday, October 17th.
- Conferences - I have begun to schedule conferences based on first come, first serve. I have tried to get everyone scheduled when they requested but most of the night time conferences are already full. The information on when it is scheduled will come out on Friday.
Can you believe we have been in school 39 days? Time goes so fast.

In writing, we are working on learning about bats. By the end of the week we will publish what we know about bats.
