Happy Easter Break!!!!!

This morning some fifth graders came to visit our room. Look how tall that fifth grader is in the back!!! Alora, along with a bunch of other great tour guides, gave tours to them to help them remember what kindergarten was all about!

We worked on sounding out CVC words today. This would be AWESOME summer practice (think chalk, computer, whiteboards, paint, etc.). Say a word to your child like mug, cup, cat, dog, dig, pet, sip, etc and he or she should sayyyyyy the sounds slowly and write down the letters. The KEY is to say the word. Speech memory is a HUGE part of spelling--not just memorizing the word visually.

We drew cute Easter baskets to decorate your lovely homes! I hope you all have a blessed, special, warm and fun Easter weekend :)
